Novos conceded this game before the kick off by going to uncontested scrums due to lack of front row. This was unfortunate as Northern’s scrum has been dominant in all the previous games. Novos took advantage when following a series of penalties they elected for a 5 metre scrum and scored a converted try from the number 8 pick up on 9 minutes. Northern scored straight from the restart when the ball was moved wide through the hands for right wing Connor Chamberlain to score out wide on 10 minutes. Northern were dominating the game at this stage and sored a further try when some good hands again put right wing Connor Chamberlain in for his second try converted by scrum half Sam Storey on 23 minutes. Further Northern pressure resulted on a penalty 5 m out which was tapped and recycled by the forwards and lock Paddy Douglas powered over for an unconverted try on 28 minutes. Northern were going through good sets of phases and fast hands set right wing Connor Chamberlain away for his third try on 33 minutes which was unconverted. Just before half time following a good, patient Northern build up the ball was spun to fly half Spike Strang who spotting space in behind the rush defence showed great skill to chip over and re-gather his kick to score an unconverted try on 38 minutes. Half time score: Northern Wanderers27–Novos7.
Northern turned around after the break and continued with their fine play. On 47 minutes, following good defensive pressure, a dropped Novos pass was picked up by centre Jos Pinsent and quickly moved wide to right wing Connor Chamberlain who showed good pace to beat the Novos defence for an unconverted try on 47 minutes. Northern scored again on 52 minutes when right wing Connor Chamberlain gathered a kick and set off on a swerving run that left the Novos defence floundering to score a fine individual try that was converted by full back Rory Gibson. Right wing Connor Chamberlain was on the score sheet for the sixth time when he chased a kick through and outstripped the pacey Novos full back to win the race for the touchdown on 70 minutes. The try was converted by full back Rory Gibson. Northern continued to press and were rewarded with the final try of the game when centre Jos Pinsent stepped outside his man and had the pace to see off the Novos defenders and touch down on 75 minutes.
