14/15 Colts. Colts 38 - 10 Sunderland

Colts won 38 - 10 at home against Sunderland. Match report thanks to John Dean-Laws.

Northern U17s were up against an in-form Sunderland side who were unbeaten in the league and last week won against Darlington MP in county cup. This game was a top of the table clash and Northern started with a score inside 5 minutes by Adam Mohamed after U18 Falcons duty. Adam was to score again on 20mins and both he and Jack Tait were making a formidable pairing playing as centres. Josh made both conversions with some first class goal kicking. Step up Jack Robson after some great team play to go over just wide of the posts. U16 Jack has been a tough nut to crack against his bigger counter parts. Josh again made the conversion to make it 21-0. Sunderland scored after a Northern poor restart and the half time score was 21-5.

Northern made 4 changes at half time as we had 8 subs and all the squad gets game time. This didn't stop Northern and Jack Tait crashed over for deserved try. Josh again making conversion. Sunderland scored again out wide after a kick through. Two more tries were scored in second half by Tom Crosse and Adam getting his hat trick. The final score 38-10. Dual man of matches Jack Tait and Adam Mohamed.

Next game at home to Cockermouth.
